Use of cookies
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a file stored by a server on the user’s computer that enables the user’s browsing data to be collected: some are necessary because they make browsing easier, while others are used to gather information about the user for targeted advertising.
Cookies may be “third-party” or “internal”:
- Internal” cookies are placed by the site visited by the user, more specifically on the site’s domain. They may be used to ensure that the site functions properly or to collect personal data in order to track user behaviour and for advertising purposes.
- Third-party” cookies are cookies placed on domains other than that of the main site, generally managed by third parties who have been asked to do so by the site visited and not by the user himself: these cookies may also be necessary for the site to function properly, but they are mainly used to enable the third party to see which pages have been visited on the site in question by a user and to collect information about him, particularly for advertising purposes.
Managing your cookies using the management module:
When you visit our web page for the first time, a web banner appears on the page. The banner informs you that we use cookies and that we link you to this page.
The Axeptio banner allows you to choose which cookies you wish to accept and which you wish to reject on our site.
Axeptio is a reliable and secure consent management platform (CMP), which allows you to easily accept or revoke your consent to cookies on the websites it manages.
To accept or revoke consent for cookies on a site managed by Axeptio, follow the steps below:
- Cookie banner: When you arrive at a website managed by Axeptio, you will see a cookie banner that offers you the option to accept or decline cookies. This banner is designed to comply with cookie regulations such as the GDPR. You can click on the options provided to accept or refuse cookies.
- Accept cookies: If you wish to accept cookies, click on the appropriate option in the cookie banner. Once you have accepted cookies, Axeptio will record your consent on the website and store this information in an online database.
- Revoking Consent: If you wish to revoke your consent at a later time, you can do so by accessing your web browser settings. Look for the confidentiality or cookies options in your browser settings and follow the instructions to revoke your consent.
Managing your cookies using your browser:
You can configure your browser software so that cookies are stored on your computer (or your portable device, tablet, etc.) or rejected, either systematically or depending on the sender.
Users are informed that they may refuse to accept cookies by configuring their browser software. For information, users can find the steps to follow to configure their browser software to prevent cookies from being stored at the following addresses:
- Chrome: https: //support.google.com/accounts/answer/61416?hl=fr
- Firefox: https: //support.mozilla.org/fr/kb/enable-and-disable-cookies-website-preferences
- Safari: http: //www.apple.com/legal/privacy/fr-ww/
- Internet Explorer: https: //support.microsoft.com/fr-fr/help/17442/windows-internet-explorer-delete-manage-cookies
- Opera: http: //www.opera.com/help/tutorials/security/cookies/
If the user decides to deactivate the “cookies” files, they will be able to continue browsing the site. However, any malfunctioning of the site caused by this manipulation may not be considered to be the fault of the site editor.
Cookies strictly necessary for the site to function
These “necessary” cookies enable the site’s main services to function optimally. You can technically block them using your browser settings, but your experience on the site may be degraded.
In particular, these cookies enable us to recognise you, to indicate that you have visited a particular page and thus to improve your browsing experience: to adapt the presentation of the site to your terminal’s display preferences (language used, display resolution), to memorise passwords and other information relating to a form you have filled in on the site. They are also used to implement security measures.
These cookies cannot be deactivated or configured, otherwise you will no longer be able to access the site and/or its services.
Only the publisher of the relevant cookie is able to read or modify the information contained within it.
Technical cookies are necessary for navigating our website, as well as for accessing various products and services.
